The German Commodity Testing Authority has warned that some lipstick products contain substances harmful to health. This came after the authority conducted a test that included 17 products.

The authority explained that some lipstick products contain "titanium dioxide", whose regular ingestion while applying lipstick may cause damage to the genetic material of cells, and thus cancer.

You can find out if lipstick contains titanium dioxide through the code "CI 77891", to which "titanium dioxide" is often added.

One of the substances harmful to health in some lipstick preparations is what is known as mineral oils, which are also referred to as “Mosh” components or (hydrocarbon-saturated mineral oils).

Regular ingestion of these substances is dangerous to health; Where they are believed to be carcinogenic.
